5th Grade Immigration Resource

5th graders will be exploring various immigration experiences this week during library after researching World Book Online last week.  Immigration Day is coming up on May 9th!

This site from the Ellis Island National Monument is particularly useful.

First Grade Reading Celebration

First graders gathered in the library today to hear favorite stories from guest readers from our OES community in celebration of their reading efforts.  Mo Copeland joined two of our specialists, Coach Corris and Ms. Laura Foster-Flynn, 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Griffin and 1st grade Assistant Teacher, Mr. Loitz in reading aloud some favorite books!  Over 500 books were read in a 4 week period by our eager first grade readers during the Reading Olympics!
