Today we welcomed National Geographic author, Jennifer Holland, to our Lower School Library to visit with our Primary, 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders. Jennifer talked about the importance of empathy between animals and also humans. She shared some of her favorite stories that she has written about in her Unlikely Friendship series. Rojo, the llama, was part of the visit. Rojo's story is part of Jennifer's most recent book "Unlikely Heroes" and lives just north of us in Vancouver Washington. I even got a kiss from Rojo himself! We were lucky to have both him and Jennifer join us! Thanks to our wonderful contact, Sheila Nathan, and Powell's for making this visit possible!
